Grand Opening, Grand Closing.

By: Magnusson | December 12th, 2007

1_om_deception_equipe.jpgTen minutes. That’s all it took for Liverpool to make sure they went through. I had to watch the game three more times to look for something. I don’t know what I was looking for but maybe in the midst of it I might have missed the fighting spirit. And I have to say I couldn’t see it. While we were getting ass-raped all over the pitch, none of our players (except maybe Valbuena and Cana) played worth a damn. Liverpool is a superior team and they brought the A-squad last night. Mascherano made sure our line of offense didn’t exist and aside from that Stevie Gerrard is incredible. You know what? I’d love to be fair-play and stuff, talk about how the UEFA Cup is worth playing but Nah. Fuck that. I’m pissed and I don’t even know who to be pissed at! Or maybe I know too well.

Congratulations to Lyon for a great match tonight at Ibrox though. That was great.

Lyon is yang to Marseille’s ying. They can’t perform well at the same time. French football is so weird.

When you look at it, Marseille can really have some great games in the UEFA cup. You can fall on Bayern, Athletico or PSV… I think it must not be underrated. Although it is true that I would have preferred to see Marseille in Champions League.

The UEFA Cup is great compettion and Gerets will play to win it but what I’m saying is it’s super frustrating to be so close and not play.
