

Swine Flu Almost Disrupted the Classico

The Classico was almost postponed after two PSG players were diagnosed with the swine flu. These are the second and third cases of swine flu to be diagnosed in Ligue 1 after Emir Spahic (Montpellier) contracted the disease in August. The PSG players are reported to be midfielder Ludovic Giuly and defender Mamadou Sakho.
The French Federation has considered postponing the match, but decided against it this afternoon. This certainly doesn’t bode well for PSG– who are already missing a few key players (Zoumana Camara, Guillaume Hoarau and Mevlut Erding) and haven’t won a game in awhile…
