OM v Lyon : Halftime Report
By: Richard | November 8th, 2009
This has been a physical game to say the least. Our defense has been shaky and we certainly are having some trouble penetrating the Lyon midfield. Niang quiet for the first thirty minutes began to make incursions into but it doesn’t look like he is playing at a hundred percent. There needs to be some change made to the midfield as I believe we are relying to much on the flanks. Regardless Cheyrou’s late equalizer was a welcomed sight it has been a while since he scored and it was a beauty of a shot. Did anyone else see Pjanic fall down when Cheyrou pushed his arm away? Pretty weak I don’t even think Ronaldo would have pulled that off. Anyway I expect to see a continued physical game. I also want to see Ben Arfa or Valbuena subbed in early in the second half as the midfield needs a shot in the arm to stay the pace.

I lost my voice after watching that match. I haven’t seen such play in ANY league this entire year. it was like watching a theatrical version of a football match.

This match deserved 5 min-ly reports.
Even Dassier & Aulas enjoyed the match even though none would have been happy with the point.
I hope the match between OM & PSG takes a step further, with OM winning 6-5!

Crazy match. Ten goals?? really?? We deserved to put that match away. I was more than a bit worried after that quick first goal (way too fast).. i was breathing easy after OM was up 4-2 then ohlala those three Lyon goals!!
We’re not out of it yet. Allez l’OM!
