Gets His Brace!
Okay from this point on no more references to our opponents name I swear! Nothing about the wild west, showdowns at high noon nothing! But seriously how sweet was this game? Baup continues his excellent record as our coach and OM continues to kick ass and take names in Eastern Europe. What’s not to love here? What I love even more is how I’ve seen the Ayew brothers mature from fringe players being sent on loan to regulars in our starting eleven.
Sheriff proved to be the stubborn side throughout the match and If it weren’t from some superman like saves from Mandanda this could have ended as a tie or worse. While Jordan undoubtedly has made the headlines for his performance, all credit to Mandanda as well his save in the 88th minute will go down as one of his best. With the two away goals I don’t see Sheriff causing us any trouble whatsoever. We did what we needed to do and hopefully our senior members wont be too fatigued for Sundays match with Montpellier.
