10/11 Home Shirt Leaked!

By: Richard | May 2nd, 2010

Back In February this picture surfaced as a possible contender for the new OM kit. However with the official unveiling of the 10/11 kit set for later this week, it seems that the below pictures are indeed the new home kit for next season! I like the subtle horizontal stripe design Adidas choose instead of going completely white. The current OM crest makes a return replacing the anniversary crest. I skipped on buying this years shit but will definitely be picking this up! So what do you guys think of our new home kit? Love it ? Hate it? Leave your comments below.om1om2om3om4

You’ll be able to find the new OM jerseys in The Offside Store, once they’re available.

i’m a pretty big fan of these. i did like this years (i too skipped one buying one) home kit, but the away was awful, also with the third shirt as well. i hope the shirt sponsors are limited to one or maybe two, though I know this is wishful thinking. i really like how some clubs don’t wear a shirt sponsor in the champions league matches. Lyon’s blue shirt looked fantastic against BM in the first leg. Umbro knows how to make a shirt. i hope the OM boutique makes a long sleeve shirt available this year.

Looks good. Before buying i would like to see our away & 2nd kit as well. I will get whichever looks the best.

    I like it.

But you know what can ruin a good shirt?

a huge sponsor logo across the chest like “DIRECT ENERGIE” taking up two lines…

I prefer Adidas shirts, as you all know, but this one does look nice.

I hope there’s an option to buy it sponsorless, with no flocage at all.

ESPN Soccernet Store offered the 2007-2008 OM shirts with no sponsor, and I missed my chance to snag a few of those.

When Liverpool came to Marseille, they had to wear a sponsor-less shirt (no Carlsberg) because something in the French laws prohibit beer/alcohol sponsors on football shirts.

I’m willing to buy a shirt with NEUF on it, even though I hate the company. The logo isn’t as annoying as DIRECT ENERGIE.

It’s times like these where I wish we could have Carlsberg or Pelforth or Heineken or Kronenbourg 1664 or RICARD (Marseille) logo on our shirts instead of D.E.

Can SNCF or EDF sponsor a shirt? Orange, Bouygues?

Less is more. Meanwhile, I’m going to snag some old shirts… NEUF, Ericsson… RTL

justin, i too am collecting older shirts these days. i’m in the process of selling my entire record collection (i had a fuck load of rarities and record release show pressings… all those long drives across the country to shows is finally paying off…) and found a cheap apartment in DC for the summer so i’ve had a good amount of spare cash these days.
the one thing i don’t like about the new adidas shirts is the spiderman like body armor they have in the back. sure if i still had good looking abs and a nice back i’d probably show it off… but come on. i’m not really feeling it. i think it makes the new les bleus away kits look like trash

Justin I agree with your critique of sponsorship ruining a great kit. I don’t like D.E. their logo is far to big. But If I had the choice between say a gambling sponsor like bWin, 188 bet etc I’ll take DE. Remember that for every home goal we scored with Direct Energie they supposedly planted 50 trees, I always though that to be a nice gesture. I still think that the Red GK shirt with the Direct Energie in white is a thing of beauty and I’d do near anything to get one! Right now I cant think of any Sponsors I’d want for the new kit. Maybe a return to N9UF? Or what about an auto company sponsorship? Nissan Toyota?

As for the back of the kit John, I see what you’re saying about the “armor” Surprisingly the armor is absent in the first picture while its visible in the third. If I have the option of buying a more relaxed shirt and these new muscle man shirts then yeah I’m going for the relaxed fit.

Now I’m gonna take a guess here and assume our away will be a predominant blue kit. I just hope that Adidas doesn’t get carried away with it.

Yeah, the two clubs I actually support, Adidas totally screwed their away kits. And coincidently enough they look almost exactly alike (aside from the color). Though if it came down to it, I would clearly choose OM and fight for them, I still do support Besiktas in Turkey… and their away kits the last few years have been eyesores. I had the chance to visit their stadium in January (and actually sneak onto the pitch!) and we went into a small museum they have inside the stadium. They had some pretty awesome shirts in the 70’s through the 90’s.

I have to say Marseille always have awesome kits. So awesome that I was compelled to buy their home (blue) kit this season.

good comments, and yes, the spider-man body armor thing is pretty lame. My six-pack days are over and I want a shirt that even Fat Ronaldo (world cup 2006) can fit nicely into.

I’m really torn on whether to get a Coupe de la Ligue OM home shirt. Yes, that was the match that seemingly broke the curse, ended the 17-year trophy drought, and has done a lot to boost our confidence. I might pick up a Heinze shirt even with the huge DE logo plastered across the front.

What do y’all think of the throwback shirts. OM-adidas-Ericsson in golden yellow?

I’m going to try to find one of the Argentina-like vertically-striped white-sky-blue OM away shirts, but most have already been sold.
