Banjo, Drogba is pretty much the most popular Marseille striker of this millenium. His ego is big (Ive seen it first hand covering the African Cup of Nations and following the Cote D'ivoire team) nbut he's a boss. The other truth is that no other player has been this in phase with the public. He was the spitting image of the city and that's why people still love him.
Kids buy new kits and put Drogba on the back. If he ever came back, that would be an incredible signal to all Europe.
I'm only dreaming but I wish it could happen.
As for Niang, as a senegalese myself, I love the kid. He's gonna do great things this season I hope. BUt he's already 28, so he won't stay much longer to grow. I'd love to see some other kid get out of the academy like Krstic and be ill but we'll have to wait and see.
Oh and by the way, you can't deny that since Gerets came, Cissé has been a lot less moody on the pitch or with his teammates. I think he could become once again an incredible assett to this club
He's scored 3 goals in 4 friendlies, that's something

First of all - welcome back M - we're lost in the UK without you.
Secondly, and I hate to say this, but Drogba has shown at Chelsea that his temperament is second only to Cisse's on a bad day - do we really want another stroppy striker at the Velo?
I'd prefer to look forward, watch Niang grow, and get a younger striker, sans ego, to back him up.

Correct me if I'm wrong!

I promised to pay a 100, and if it is to really happen, I'll pay much more. But let's be realistic, even though Drogba announced several times his desire to return to OM, he is right now at top of his game... The most prestigious clubs in Europe want him... Not that OM is not, 'cause we are, but the Ligue 1 isn't!!

I think it's pretty cool what the fans are doing. It might be more practical if the president can pay like, half or something. I'd love to see what Drogba actually thinks of it. I bet he'll be touched, and feel a bit weird at the same time. I would be a bit angry if the player that I raised a lot of money for disappoints..

I think Drog would be able to take it...but it would be something he would rather not dump again! I know I wouldn't ...its funny when the fans do it straight then it really affects everyone...if you think about it, it is the fans who are paying for everything anyways!
