Juan Angel Krupoviesa, the rumor that refuses to die…
By: Magnusson | December 20th, 2007
Fresh off their defeat to Milan Ac at the FIFA Club’s World Cup, Boca Junior president Pedro Pompillio declared that Juan Angel Krupoviesa was about to be transferred to Marseille this winter. The Krupoviesa rumor started of course when Anigo insisted on seeing the Boca Junior B team play while he was in Argentina (Juan Angel Krupoviesa was injured and is just recovering, having not played much with his team this year), specifically to get a glimpse of a player many compared to Gaby heinze from his Paris days.
Now I’m all for Gabriel Heinze 2.0 if said player comes to Marseille and the truth is I remember the comments durig the Copa Sudamericana from last year and how much they were loving him on TV when Boca beat Sao Paulo, but we cannot afford to take a player who won’t be physically fit and who we haven’t seen play in a long rime. Once again, let’s not recruit someone just on his name. I haven’t seen the guy play in a year and even then he was not extraordinary. I guess anything must be better than Bad Taiwo, right? We’ll see how much truth there is to this rumor once January 1st hits. I’m waiting for that mercato to begin now, it sounds like it’s going to be mayhem.
