The espn match preview said Niang would probaly be coming from the bench. This is great. I see no reason that ben Arfa sit now that ziani is hurt. I thinks we will score goals but another clean sheet would be even better. I like how gerets speaks of a 1-0 or 2-0 victory. Defense first, this is french football afterall

I’m happy that Niang is back. I’m not happy that Marseille allowed a scrub team like Twente to walk into the Velodrome and win after such an ugly match.
Enough about the defense. What about our midfield? Why is OM giving the ball back to Twente on long passes and low-percentage plays? Our midfield needs to hold onto the ball and keep it away from their players.
Sheesh.
Well, welcome back Mamadou. At least we have a rematch against Twente and the championnat still in play.

Okay, I was a bit miffed yesterday, but today I’m calm.
Let’s focus on beating PSG and Lyon, and not losing or drawing to bad teams that are in danger or relegation.
I’m not worried about Europe and the international tournaments. Let’s focus on Ligue 1 and the championnat.
Lyon MUST NOT win again. ALLEZ L’OM!!!!!!

It IS very bad. I didn’t even want to come back here.
I was in denial for real. But i felt it coming. The only good thing about this game is that it was without the shadow of a doubt the worst game we’ve played since the Marseille-Rennes from last year when pagis scored twice.
We’ve never played like this since Gerets came.Impossible is not Marseillais but damn I wanted us to wina t home so bad

We MUST beat PSG and Lyon and not lose/draw to lower-tier teams. I don’t even care about the UEFA cup anymore. What the heck are we doing in Ligue 1?
I was watching the highlight video of OM-OL when we had Nasri, Ribery, Cissé, and Niang all working in concert to put together real scoring opportunities. Quick attacks. More REALISTIC opportunities for goals.
If we don’t get on the scoreboard quickly, we’re going to see a lot more of last week where they’re playing with 8 defenders. More boring Italian-style boring defensive bullshit.
We have to get the attacking midfield and attaquants on the same page and strike first and quickly. Defensive 0-0 matches will surely lose us the championnat. I’m sure Eric Gerets is well aware of this and has something up his sleeve.
Allez l’OM!!! Aux armes….!!!!!
