Juan Angel Krupoviesa is in…
By: Magnusson | January 10th, 2008
Juan Angel Krupoviesa was a rumor. Than that rumor became an information and then we didn’t hear from him in about two weeks. Just in time for him to get to marseille, train a little in the Loft and get signed. The Argentinian left-back has been loaned by Boca Junior with the possibility for us to buy him at the end of the season.
At Sainte-Maxime, where the team was preparing their Coupe de France game against Beauvais, Krupoviesa was presented to the press and held a very small press conference where he explained that even though he had a lot of other possibilities, Marseille seemed more like what he wanted out of a European experience. “From what I’ve gathered from Argentina, Marseille is lot like Boca, with 60.000 fans cheering on the team every week and that is one of the main reasons why I came here. I’m one of those players that like pressure, so it doesn’t scare me. I’m happy to be here”. He even added that his compatriot Renato Civelli had a role in his coming there since he told him that “I could come here with my eyes closed and that it was one of the greatest french clubs”. It’s nice to see that Renato is still loyal to us and helping us get players. Let’s just hope he gets playing time and comes a lot better in marseille next season.
As for his inclusion in the group, he stated that he was “thrilled to be here because I have been welcomed tremendously by everyone, players and staff. I felt a real family around me, notably Bolo Zenden who speaks spanish and the captain, Lorik Cana“
On another note, JAK (that’ll be easier for me) took Habib Beye number. So long captain, this time it’s really over.

I hope you enjoy “Krupo”. He was one of my favorite players at Boca. Ended up spending time on the bench due to injuries and not being able to beat out Morel Rodriguez at left back for a starting spot. Look closely at him-he looks like a cartoon dog. I also referred to him as “Snoopy”.

Well thanks Johnny. I hope he really settles nice and stays a long time. If he’s as good as I remember he was at some point, he is better than anyone of our left backs anyway
