While I was gone…

Ladies and Gentlemen, Iwould like to apologize for the lack of updates and for being majorly delinquent on giving you updates but I have one major excuse, I was “AFK” (Away From Keyboard for you non-geeks) because I was in Ghana during the African Cup of Nations and was incredibly swamped while I was there. So swamped that I barely hasd time to watch Marseille games over there. Don’t worry I watched them all since I arrived.
Anyway I’ll try to catch you guys up as I and the team gear up for this Sunday’s Classico. The good news is that Marseille became pretty much the team we were expecting them to be at the beginning of the season, beating Valenciennes, Caen and Nice in the Ligue as well as Monaco in the Coupe de France. They drew Nancy but unfortunaltely got eliminated at the very last second by Auxerre (Benoît Pedretti, making us pay for the lack of support when he played here) in the Coupe de la Ligue.
Tonight they defeated Spartak Moscow 3-0 (more on that a little later) in the Vélodrome, setting up the perfect scenario for getting through on the synthetic pitch of the Luzhniki Stadium next week. Oh and also maybe shake the PSG faithful’s confidence at the same time.
So let’s get back to it, shall we?
