We should have kept one of Civelli & Zubar. Alienating Valbuena is also not good. He was developing pretty nicely under Gerets. I have to say that DD's apparent policy of headhunting players that are over 30 is worrying me. We need to be recruiting and developing younger players, which may mean a slightly longer term strategy, i.e. consolidating and steadily improving on what we have for a season. Gerets started to do this in the 20 months he was at the Velo, but I'm worried all his hard work is going to be undone.
