    Hello…
I’ve been waiting a long time for that anouncement!! I was espcially worried when earlier this year, rumors were sending him to coach PSG!! What a relief!!
All we hope for now is that Marseille won the ligue 1, I don’t want to sound negative but I am really scared of the 99 scenario.

After roughly 2 seasons OM sign Deschamps. I hope Deschamps can convenience important players to stay.

Gaston in 99 (our 100th aniversary), we were first and still in the running for the UEFA Cup final. WE were two points ahead of Bordeaux but they were ahead in goal difference. We draw against SEdan 2-2 in a shame of a game and three penalties not given to us. Bordeaux wins against Lyon and then in Paris at the 96th minute of the 38th game of the season, Feinduno scores in what looked like two teams conniving. That restaured the hate of Paris in MArseille

Okay, whatever. Deschamps for next year. Great.

This season is still in play!!

I would hate to see OM lose “le championnat” to Bordeaux on goal difference.

They have a much easier last three matches:

Come on. Does anyone really think they won’t kill Le Mans and VAFC and bring their GD up?

I hope Monaco beats them and OM wins the championnat outright by winning the next 3 matches :)

Deschamps will easily give OM the next title. I’ll be content with the title this season though ;)

Magnusson, I hate to be picky about this, but your description of the 1999 end of season run is incorrect. We fell a point behind Bordeaux three weeks from the end of season after a 2-1 loss to PSG. Both sides won their final two games, and you are completely correct about PSG allowing Bordeaux to score in the 96th minute. However, in our match that day, we defeated Nantes 1-0. I believe the 2-2 draw with Sedan came at the end of the 1999-2000 season when we narrowly avoided relegation.

Danny you are right about the Sedan game. I confudsed two seasons. I didn’t check the facts but went for memory.
We did lose at Paris at the 31st matchday (they were only 34 then and not 38). Then Paris was drawing Bordeaux and then let Feindouno score while even if we won, we still lost to Paris.

Magnusson, you should be flattered that Sidney Govou himself takes the time to sign on and read your blog héhéhé :D

Too bad about the Toulouse draw and the loss to Lyon… I was in Paris at Le Losserand with a bunch of OM supporters… now it looks like we need Bordeaux to choke in the next match to have a chance…
