Renato Civelli nearly drowned…

Renato Civelli (24) was not at practice on Friday morning. But he had on hell of an excuse. On thursday while he was out fishing near the Calanques, the centre-back got thown by a huge wave into the water and nearly drowned. It was revealed by Eric Gerets yesterday that even though he got out nearly unscathed with some bruises, people really feared for his life when they saw his body projected into the rocks before falling in the sea. For a few seconds, witnesses thought he was dead. If he’s not seeing much action on the pitch, Renato certainly has had enough off it.
