Let’s get this started…

Before even playing a single official game this season, Marseille has been creating an incredibble buzz this offseason and l’OM is seen as the first team in years to be able to bother Lyon for the title. That enthusiasm can easily be explained by what has been seen as the best Mercato yet (We never know what Lyon might be cooking and some teams are clearly not done yet with theirs). Pape Diouf and José Anigo had placed their priorities on creating a much more experienced defense and keep Djibril Cissé with us. He has been able to reconnect the last french pair of central backs to play a Chmpions League final. If you add Jacques Faty and Ronald Zubar to Captain Beye and Taye Taïwo, we seem to be pretty set there. The other lines have not been left alone either with ex-Auxerre captain Cheyrou coming to give Lorik Cana some help on the midfield. Karim Ziani came from Sochaux to be the new Left sider and Zenden is the icing on the cake giving us a french-speaking experienced player whose last european game happens to have been tyhe final of the Champions League.
Now Strasbourg has lost ZERO game at La Meinau last year and shouldn’t be underestimated by any means. Marseille will be Messiah-less for a few more weeks but we can go in there with some confidence and some ambition given our preseason record (Out of seven games, Marseille won six and remains undefeated).
Having Albert Emon at the helm of the squad is a delight because he’s a man naturally attracted towards offensive teams and Marseille gave us some amazing games last year. I’ll settle for the same amount of fun they gave us if we don’t manage to beat Lyon.
Here is the probable team: Carrasso – Beye, Givet, Rodriguez, Taïwo – Cana, Ziani, Cheyrou – Niang, Cissé, Zenden.

The longer you can go without mentioning Nasri the more I will be impressed. And ‘Messiah’ doesn’t count.

Well not a bad game all in all. Cissé’s offside goal was pretty funny. And those three saves (Johansen, Zenden, Renteria) were pretty slick!
