Au Revoir Loïc Remy

Remy

Queens Park Rangers snatches up another one of our guys with the departure of Loic Remy. Back When QPR had signed Mbia in August it really didn’t bother me to be honest. I was always neutral to him and ironically its funny that he wound up there when years ago he rejected a move to Everton because they weren’t a big enough club. Well that small club currently sits in fifth place where as QPR is dead last in the league. For whatever reason Remy has decided to join Mbia though I cant imagine why. Supposedly it isn’t for the money but for the challenge of keeping the team up.

While the start of this season hasn’t been the best for Remy, battling injury and Gignac’s resurgence has made it difficult for him to find his place. Regardless our team has had a great run so far – defying the critics with our unbeaten run, a brand new coach who has breathed life into the whole squad. Should we not end this year on top undoubtedly we will make a return to the Champions League the following year. Remy finds himself now on a sinking ship the complete opposite of Marseille. I would hope he has some sort of clause in his contract that releases him from QPR should they get relegated. I think Anigo said it best when he commented on how top Ligue 1 players would wind up on mid to low level English clubs just because well hey it’s England. I’m not saying Remy is a guy that should be on the likes of Chelsea or City but he could have done a lot better than QPR.

Now we are left in the perfect predicament in Remy’s departure. A team in dire financial straits needs to find itself a new striker. Even better we know how a so so or outright scrub can see his market value shoot through the roof just because of time constraints. Conveniently Le Phoceen have created quite a list of potential players as suitable replacements. Some big names (Drogba, Gouffran) and some no names (Carlos Fierro, Raul Rusescu). Bottom line though if we do not fill the gap that Remy has left we simply will not keep pace with Lyon and PSG. OM brass need to reinvest this transfer fee post haste and find us a catch!

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
