Djibril Cissé likes to party, gets sued….
By: Magnusson | September 29th, 2007
While the entire city was losing sleep over the multiple defeats of our team, while our coach was counting the last minutes of his tenure and his bosses were trying to figure out if it was worth it or not to let him lead us to Anfield, some players like Lorik Cana, Ronal Zubar and Mamadou Niang were seen genuinely depressed and ashamed of what happened at Auxerre last saturday. Some others, after multiple declarations calling for a revolt and a reaction from the team, seemed a little less affected. José Anigo revealed yesterday the reason of the tiff he had tuesday morning with some of the players revealing that after the humiliation at the Abbé Deschamps stadium, Djibril Cissé came on his and some other player’s behalf to ask if they could be granted an authorization to go party in Paris that same night, without coming back to Marseille directly. Revealed by L’Equipe this saturday, the daily asked José Anigo for his version and without mentionning any names he said “Some players were laughing with each other while we were, Albert [Emon], [Dominique] Cuperly and I in the next room. It was surreal. I sometimes have a hard time understanding them.”
I guess now the fans will know who really appreciates the club and suffers with them and who is tere just to do their job.
On other news, Djibril Cissé will be sued by brazilian midfielder and 2002 World Champion Ricardinho who was injured during our Champions League debut game against Besiktas. His injury came when Djibril Cissé quite violently tackled him and righfully got a yellow card for it. Ricardinho was then taken to the sidelines but couldn’t get back into the game, being replaced by Koray Avci at the 39th minute. The brazilian, who like most people that play in Turkey, Gets half of his salary upfront and gets paid according to results and games. Ricardinho holds Djibril Cissé for the nine games he’s sure to miss and all the salary he’ll never be able to touch, roughly €230.000. He’ll be councilled during the case by one of the newly elected executives at Besiktas who happens to be a lawyer. The thirty year-old Ricardinho has accused Cissé a few times to have hurt him on purpose and wants him to pay the big bucks quick.
Let’s hope Djibril gets in this lawsuit an inspiration to stop tackling on defenders like he did against mario Yepes who was also recovering for 3 months after the two om them encountered.
The last time Marseille was in this kind of trouble was when Phillipe Blondeau was accused of the same deed and Marseille ended up paying Nantes a rather small ammount of money after a rather quick procedure.
And last but not least, all our players were tested on and gave blood on wednesday morning to make sure none of them had been contaminated with the virus that has Samir Nasri in the hospital. We’ll know the results quite soon. In the meantime, get well soon Samir.

Magnusson,
Djibril is still one of the greats no matter what and he should be on the national team.

Yeah he should but sometimes it just fucks me up as a fan to see this kind of behavior. I mean it’s not like they can’t party or anything but when everybody’s only objective should be to get at top level physical fitness and stuff, this guy wants to go out and spin records five hours from where he lives.
