Match Preview: OM vs. Zurich (Game 4, Champion’s League)
By: Sarah |
A little inspiration– the celebration after Heinze’s winning goal in game 3.
I can’t believe we are already at game 4 in Europe– it seems like just yesterday I was in shock at our group competition. Given our first few performances, I gather OM was shocked as well (1-2 thus far in the group stage…and the one game we won was far from a stellar performance). Read the rest of this entry »

OM-Toulouse: Match Review
By: Sarah |First, thanks to Thomas for setting up the live blog during the game (as well as the later Lyon vs. St. Etienne game) and for the fans who were able to join us. I hope the rest of you can make it in the future.
Let’s start with the pre-game festivities. The game, which played on Halloween, allowed the fans to show some of their festive spirit.

Before the match, both teams were given time to warm-up on the field– giving the press the opportunity to catch Gignac showing us what happens when he is caught thinking too hard. Read the rest of this entry »

By: Sarah |Match Background
Gignac has already admitted the game this weekend against Marseille will be a “special” moment.
For those who don’t know anything about Gignac beyond his impressive scoring ability, he was born in Martigues, a town outside of Marseille, which explains why the game has special significance for the guy. Read the rest of this entry »

The LFP Office announced today that the Classico will be played on Friday, November 20th. The original Ligue 1 game that weekend against Sochaux has been pushed back until Wednesday, 12/2. Mandanda to Bayern?
By: Richard |
Sarah and I have certainly had a lot to write about with this whole swine flu debacle and it seems the news keeps on coming for OM. Reports are now that the Bavarian giants Bayern Munchen have set their sights on our very own Mandanda. Over the summer Bayern made a slew of summer signings and though they were eclipsed by the Galacticos nonetheless they greatly improved their squad. However finding a definitive reliable keeper has eluded the Germans ever since the departure of the great Oli Kahn. I truly hope this stays nothing more than a rumor I would be hugely disappointed if Mandanda left (I mean I still miss Cana!). Remember that Steve extended his contract with us back in the summer so I think he’s here to stay….hopefully.
